Students are playing a key role in this year's presidential election, with a high turnout for Super Tuesday primaries and caucuses.

Youth turnout tripled in Georgia, Missouri and Oklahoma and doubled in Massachusetts compared with 2000 levels. "Not only was there higher turnout, the highest level was among young people," said John Della Volpe, director of polling at Harvard's Institute of Politics.
