All issues of Australian Journal of Music Therapy (ISSN 1036-9457) are now available online to members of the Australian Music Therapy Association. Access is available through the Music Therapy World Web site (http://www.musictherapyworld.net). To retrieve articles, select "Structured Review Databases" from the top menu and choose Australian Journal of Music Therapy.
The ceased journal Brass Bulletin (ISSN 0303-3848) has announced an online shop and archive at http://www.editions-bim.com/brassbulletin. The archive includes tables of contents for all issues and offers the option to purchase any available individual issues. Users may contact the archive if an article they require is not in an available issue. Brass Bulletin was published from 1971 to 2003 and ceased in 2003 with number 124. It contained articles on brass techniques, instrument makes, player health, player biographies, and international events.
The Directory of Open-access Journals (DOAJ) at http://www.doaj.org now identifies and provides full access to more than 2,834 quality-controlled scientific and scholarly journals published in any language--all free, online, and in full text. Twenty-six music journals are included; the following are new additions (inception date follows): Action, Criticism and Theory for Music Education (2002), British Postgraduate Musicology (2001), DEMeter (2002), International Journal of Community Music (2004), Journal of Seventeenth-Century Music (1995), Music Therapy Today (2001), Philomusica (2001), Revista Electronica Complutense de Investigacion en Educacion Musical (2004), South Central Music Bulletin (2002), and Zeitschrift fur Kritische Musikpadagogik (2002). ProQuest has announced the release of a cross-searchable portal for the International Index to Music Periodicals (IIMP) and the International Index to the Performing Arts called Music and Performing Arts Online. Users can search both databases simultaneously, save searches and records for future reference, limit keyword searches across citations only as opposed to full-text articles and sign up for RSS news feeds. The portal is free to institutions with subscriptions to both databases.
