You wouldn't know it from reading the major newspapers or watching the evening news, but hundreds of thousands of Americans turned out in Washington, D.C., and dozens of other venues across the country for the annual March for Life to protest the 1973 Supreme Court decision that threw open the doors to virtually unrestricted abortion on demand. Pro-life supporters estimated at over 100,000 braved freezing temperatures to march in the nation's capital on January 22, the 35th anniversary of the infamous Roe v. Wade decision. Hundreds of thousands more marched in state capitals, major cities, and small towns from Florida to Alaska, and Texas to Maine, including a 25,000-strong Walk for Life through San Francisco.
