BEFORE YOU LEAP to the conclusion that this new Oxford Companion to Australian Politics will be, like some other Oxford Companions, contaminated by a soft leftism, you should know that I am one of the contributors. I may be only one of more than 200 contributors, with only three entries out of 400 (Political cartoonists; Political journalists; and Political correctness). But I am not the only one with some conservative deviationism in my CV.
