WASHINGTON, March 3 Asia Pulse - South Korea was holding US$138 billion worth of U.S. securities as at the end of June last year, ranking it 18th among foreign countries, the latest data released by the Treasury said.
The preliminary report, dated Friday, showed that South Korea held $5 billion in equities, $118 billion in long-term debt, and $15 billion in short-term debt.
Of the long-term debt, $13 billion was in asset-backed securities.
