Student competition award sponsors.(Foundation Fund)(Brief article)
MTNA welcomes the Kawai America Corporation as the newest MTNA student competitions award sponsor. Kawai has agreed to sponsor the MTNA Senior Duet Piano Competition at the upcoming MTNA National Conference in March.
Kawai Senior Vice President and General Manager Brian Chung says, "Kawai America is delighted to sponsor the prize for the MTNA Duet Competition. As a pianist myself, I've always loved duet playing because of the collaboration and careful listening skills that are nurtured in the process of making music with another person. Plus, it's great fun! I'm so pleased that our company can help to encourage duet playing across this country through this competition."
For many years MTNA has enjoyed the support of individuals and corporations. The student competitions awards presented each year are made possible from the generosity of members through donations to the FOUNDATION FUND. Additional awards are provided by corporate and individual supporters.
