A new online journal for music research has been developed by the Music Council of Australia. It is called the Journal of Music Research Online JMRO).
JMRO publishes scholarly research articles in areas including, but not limited to composition, early music, ethnomusicology, gender music studies, interdisciplinary music studies, music education, music technologies, musicology, performance practice and popular music.
