There's an old saw in the woodworking arena that I've heard used in sewing circles as well: "Measure twice, cut once" (pardon the pun). It applies here as well, because that's where I am in my creation process: I'm "measuring twice"--putting the information down and revising it, continuing to review other exercises, talking to colleagues--before I "cut once"--submit it to CALI to begin the review process and eventual publication.
The cliffhanger in my last installment was: did CALI the proposal or (rats!) did she have to start again and resubmit the proposal? For those waiting with bated breath (you can imagine a drum roll here if you like), the proposal was accepted and I'm now working in earnest on the exercise.
