Traveling Museum Will Visit 12 U.S. Cities During Black History Month
PHILADELPHIA, Feb. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- To keep attracting more tourists to the region, the Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation (GPTMC) is teaming up with American Legacy magazine for their "Know Your History" mobile tour during Black History Month. The exhibition will travel to 12 U.S. cities throughout the month of February and is expected to draw 32,000 visitors. GPTMC is partnering with American Legacy to raise the city's national profile as a place where visitors can connect with their history, culture and much more.
Philadelphia is the only featured destination on the tour. Stops are scheduled for Detroit, Cleveland, Atlanta, Washington, DC and New York City. The mobile museum will be stationed in Philadelphia on February 20 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Universal Companies' 777 South Broad Street lot.
