US$3.41 MLN CARBON DIOXIDE PLANT APPROVED FOR KARACHI.
KARACHI, Feb 1 Asia Pulse - The Board of Directors of BOCP, in its meeting Wednesday, approved an investment of Rs 214 million (US$US$3.41 million) for the installation of a 23 ton per day (TPD) Carbon Dioxide (CO2) plant at Port Qasim where the company already has a 100 ton per day Air Separation Unit Plant.
The project is expected to take seven months for completion and production is expected to commence around September 2008. The investment will be funded through the company's own internal cash generation. This investment will enable BOCP to meet the growing demand for CO2, specifically in the beverage sector and to capture other business opportunities in Pakistan.
