ASIA-PAC INVESTORS BELIEVE THAI INVESTMENT CLIMATE WILL IMPROVE.
BANGKOK, Feb 1 Asia Pulse - Most investors in Asia-Pacific countries are confident that the overall investment atmosphere in Thailand this year will improve from that of last year, according to a survey of opinions by ING Group.
ING Funds (Thailand) managing director Maris Tharab said the survey found 69 per cent of those surveyed viewed the overall investment climate in 2008 would be more favourable than that in 2007 while 17 per cent thought it would worsen and 14 per cent believed it would stay unchanged. Asked which direction the Thai bourse would move in the next three months, 69 per cent see the SET's composite index rising, 16 per cent see it declining and 15 per cent believed it would remain at the current level.
