TAIPEI, Feb 1 Asia Pulse - A China-based airline group has indirectly obtained the right to fly its planes to Taiwan through acquiring a Hong Kong-based airline company, according to an Executive Yuan internal assessment report.
Currently, there are no direct air transport links between Taiwan and China, except for charter flights operated during three major festivals to carry China-based Taiwanese businessmen back home for family reunions.
