SEOUL, Feb 1 Asia Pulse - South Korea's Hynix Semiconductor Inc. (KSE:000660), the world's second-largest maker of memory chips, said Friday that it posted bigger-than-expected losses in the fourth quarter of last year on tumbling chip prices.
Hynix lost 465 billion won (US$493 million) in the three months ended Dec. 31, compared with a net profit of 1 trillion won a year earlier, the company said in a statement.
