Some Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury pickup trucks, passenger vehicles, SUVs, and motor-home chassis have faulty speed-control deactivation switches. Under some conditions, this cruise control feature could leak internally and overheat, causing a fire under the hood. The dealers will deactivate the system until new parts are available.
