A 38-year-old shirtless, homeless man named Lee Coleman entered a restaurant in New York, asked to use the bathroom, and then rushed by employees and grabbed four knives. Chef Amarjit Singh tried to stop him, but Coleman slashed him across the face and neck. Singh fled outside, chased by Coleman.
There, Coleman "came face-to-face with [Susan] Barron ... and, without warning, turned the knives on her," reported the Daily News. Sixty-seven-year-old Barron, who was wearing a neck brace and carrying a cane, was knocked to the ground.
