Scientific reports published by two separate teams, one in Japan and the other in the United States, document research that enables scientists to stimulate adult human skin cells to act like embryonic stem cells. Since this technique uses neither human embryos nor a cloned mix of human and animal DNA, it eliminates the ethical problems associated with creating and destroying human life in its embryonic stage.
