Lux Studio in New York City. Why? Fergie's first solo album, The Dutchess, already has three number-one hits
on Billboard, and she was named MTV's female artist of the year at the Video Music Awards. Shifting Gears: When the Allure team showed up around 5 p.m., Fergie was already at the studio, having just completed a shoot for an ad campaign. And although she had put in a full day, the singer was energetic and ready to go. She grabbed dinner -- salad, mashed potatoes, and a few pieces of cheese -- and sat back in the dressing-room chair
to have her hair styled by Serge Normant. While he worked, Fergie chatted with
