Back on August 9, 17-month-old Madeline Lam of Richland, Pennsylvania, was playing in the yard when her father went to check on her. Mr. Lam found the girl floating in the family's above-ground pool. While Madeline's parents--Keith Lam and Jennifer Masferrer--do not exactly know how the girl got there, they believe Madeline climbed up the pool's ladder and fell into the water.
Mr. Lam pulled Madeline out of the pool and hurriedly carried her inside, where his wife attempted "a form of CPR" with little results. The frantic father ran outside and began yelling for help.
