Johnny Peel was driving to work last July 18 on Interstate 55 near Southaven, Mississippi, when he noticed an SUV pulled over alongside the road. Underneath it was Robert Finney, the SUV's owner, lying on a mechanic's creeper as he worked to repair the vehicle.
But something was not right. Peel noticed that the SUV had started rolling, pulling along the man underneath. Two children in the vehicle started screaming for help.
"I just knew I needed to help them. That car was going straight for traffic," Peel told reporters from ABC 24 Eyewitness News in Memphis.
