In response to the recent doubling and tripling of the cost of the "pill" on campuses nationwide, Princeton University NJ is subsidizing the cost of birth control for students.
It's using a discretionary fund to lower the price of a month's supply of generic birth control pills to $6, from the $15 it cost a few months ago. Early estimates place the cost of Princeton's subsidy at about $69,000.
