The University of Colorado will pay almost $3 million to settle an ongoing lawsuit filed by two women who claimed they were sexually assaulted at an off-campus party for football recruits in 2001.

The university will pay former students Lisa Simpson $2.5 million and Anne Gilmore $350,000 to end their Title IX lawsuit. CU agreed to appoint a Title IX advisor to the Boulder chancellor for five years and add a part-time counselor in the Office of Victim's Assistance.
