NEW DELHI, Jan 1 Asia Pulse - India is sending a high level team of officials to Geneva to participate in World Trade Organisation talks convened from January 3 in yet another effort to narrow down differences on agriculture between developed and developing countries on the Doha Round of Trade talks.
The team, comprising officials from the Commerce Ministry, is going with India's response to the fresh proposals in the shape of 'working documents' mooted by the Chairman of the Negotiating Group on Agriculture.
"Our team will remain engaged in talks on agriculture which will continue until January 11," a senior Commerce Ministry official said.
He said though the working documents clarify a lot of issues, such as domestic subsidies, developing countries would like a lot more clarity in terms of specific proposals.
