Dr. Amy Gutmann will be staying on as the president of the University of Pennsylvania at least until 2014. Gutmann became president in 2004 and recently accepted a contract extension from the board of trustees.

The announcement coincides with the beginning of Penn's five-year, $3.5 billion fund raising campaign. "I feel as I've never been able to feel before in my life--that I'm putting years of research and knowledge into practice," said Gutmann of her time at Penn.
