Medical experts form alliance to combat pneumococcal disease

Seoul, Dec 14 (PTI) Health care professionals from Asia-Pacific, including India, today launched a regional alliance to combat the pneumococcal disease, one of the main causes of death among children all over the world.

The Asia Strategic Alliance for Pneumococcal Disease (ASAP) is the only grouping of its kind in the region to be formed to specifically focus its resources on tackling the illness in the Asia Pacific.
