Sage teams up with Egyptian OA expert

Scientific and academic publisher Sage has entered the open access (OA) arena with a unique approach, thanks to a deal with Egyptian scientific, technical and medical publisher Hindawi Publishing Corporation.
Hindawi is already a major player in the OA space. It has its own online platform for submissions and publishing, and since February has been an OA-only publishing house. From its Cairo and New York offices, Hindawi publishes 100 journals.
The agreement gives the two publishers equal ownership over the content and journals they co-produce.
Sage will be responsible for the editorial development, marketing and promotion of new journals.
