SAN FRANCISCO, Dec 3 Asia Pulse - Taiwan signed an agreement with the Stanford University School of Medicine Friday for a cooperative program under which Taiwan will get the U.S. academic institution's assistance in training personnel in high value-added therapeutic and medical equipment industries.
The Taipei-based National Applied Research Laboratories (NARL), run by the Cabinet-level National Science Council (NSC), is representing the government in the cooperative program, titled "Stanford-Taiwan Biomedical Fellowship."
On behalf of the Taiwan government, Minister without Portfolio Lin Ferng-ching, heading a group of delegates, including NSC Vice Minister Huang Wen-hsiung and NARL President Juang Jer-nan, signed the cooperative pact with Philip A. Pizzo, dean of the Stanford University School of Medicine.
