Fees.(Letter to the editor)
The July "Have You Heard?" article "Fees: Eight We Hate" made me think of one fee that I hate: pet fees at hotels and motels.These range from $5 per pet per night to $50 per pet per night.We travel with two dogs and have about 50 hotel nights a year, so these fees could eat us up.They seem especially unfair given that almost everywhere kids are free. Our dogs are barred from the pool and hot tub, don't get to eat at the free hot breakfast buffet, consume no hot water for showers, don't use soap or shampoo, and are never rowdy at 2 a.m. Bottom line: Hotel/motel pet fees are a total rip-off.
