RMC's Parent To Sponsor AEM's Construction Challenge

Norcross, Ga. - Rocky Mountain Construction's parent company, ACP/Reed Construction Data, has announced its sponsorship of the Construction Challenge. The Construction Challenge is an event developed by the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) in partnership with Destination ImagiNation Inc.

The Construction Challenge is part of AEM's ongoing efforts to attract the best and brightest young people into the construction industry in professions ranging from manufacturing to in-the-field careers. The challenge will focus on three areas: awareness of construction-related jobs, construction equipment and manufacturing, and infrastructure awareness.

Through the sponsorship support of ACP/Reed Construction Data, students will be able to take advantage of this unique endeavor and develop critical life and job skills such as teamwork and strategic thinking. In addition, the Construction Challenge is intended to focus attention on the importance of the construction industry and the benefits it provides.

John Weatherhead, group publisher and general manager of Associated Construction Publications, said, "The Construction Challenge is important to Reed Construction Data and the Associated Construction Publications because our total business focus is the construction industry. We believe that the future growth of America is directly dependent on our industry. Simply put, without construction there is no growth.

"In order for the construction industry to be able to provide the necessary support for this growth it needs people, people who will become tomorrow's contractors, designers and engineers; people who will be tomorrow's equipment manufacturers and dealers; and people who will be tomorrow's construction work force.
