Sen. David Hann, R-Eden Prairie, is a fiscally and socially conservative Republican who is also an evangelical Christian. And although his stand on the issues follows the expected course given those attributes, he insists he's not an ideologue. "I'm not an ideologue in anything I do in the Senate," Hann insists. "I'm not a person who's going to take a slogan and champion it because there's a political agenda. What I've tried to do is come to things through thought, study, debate and argument." Hann, 55, says he is a life-long learner who likes to explore the complex underpinnings of a thought or idea he is considering. Take his faith, for example.
