Campus females are hopeful that Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign will spur more women into politics, even if Hillary isn't the right candidate for them.
With almost 60% of the college population projected to be females by 2014, women and politics are a discussion point on many campuses. "I think the colloquial phrases, 'She's the next Hillary' and 'She wants to be Hillary Clinton' are testaments to how Hillary's leadership success has helped pave the way for younger generations of females," said Allison Maranuk, a senior at Smith College MA.
Nicole Capp, student government president at George Washington University DC, noted that even women who won't vote for Hillary "are encouraged that there is a woman up at the top being considered for president."
