Fresno State University CA has agreed to pay its former associate AD $3.5 million to settle her sexual discrimination lawsuit against the school.
Diane Milutinovich has worked at Fresno State for 27 years. In 2002 she was fired from the athletics department as retaliation for advocating gender equity, according to her suit filed in 2004. "I'm personally pleased to have this lawsuit settled," she said. "I settled it with the hope that the university will focus on the future and begin to comply with the law and treat all students and their coaches equitably."
Milutinovich's case is the first of three big sex discrimination cases against Fresno to be settled. In July, a jury awarded $5.85 ...
