Many cream foundations deliver the ideal amount of coverage, but at the price of a cakey, wrinkle-magnifying texture. The newest formulas solve that problem: Bobbi Brown Moisturizing Cream Compact Foundation and Estee Lauder Resilience Lift Extreme Ultra Firming Creme Compact Makeup SPF 15 contain botanical oils and hyaluronic acid, respectively, to prevent the dusty effect; Chanel Teint Innocence Naturally Luminous Compact Makeup has pro-vitamin B5 and light-reflecting particles to brighten skin; and the flexible polymers in SK-II Signs Transform Foundation help prevent pigment from settling into creases. "They give you coverage without the heaviness," says New York City makeup artist Julie Harris. She applies them with a damp sponge for a more natural look.
