The Hood Museum of Art at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, which opened in a building designed by Charles W. Moore (1925-1993) and Chad Floyd of Centerbrook Architects in 1985, boasts extensive, rich holdings of American art that the college began to acquire soon after its founding in 1769.
