A three-time Grammy nominee with 40 albums and 100 film and television credits during a 25-year career, Peter Kater has had as long and varied a career as any instrumental musician. Despite a lack of name recognition among consumers of mainstream musical fare, he has become well-known in numerous niche markets and very well regarded for his contributions in the American Indian music community as a composer, arranger and studio musician over the past 20 years. In addition to scoring the Discovery Channel's well-received 13-part series How The West Was Lost, he has become a regular contributor to recordings produced by the venerable Silver Wave label.
