NEW YORK -- A new course concentration at NYU's Paul McGhee Division turns the casual fun of online virtual/avatar games, like Second Life, into serious course material for pros interested in game development. Part of a new undergraduate degree concentration Digital Game Production--it's designed to introduce students to "the history and logic of games" as well as programming and 3D animation. It leads to a B.S. in Digital Communications and Media via the McGhee Division, which specializes in undergraduate programs for returning adult students--people typically already in the workforce who want to complete their degree.
