As adults across the city voted, children at Ballard Elementary Global Studies Magnet School did the same. To them, their election was just as real and important.
Armed with voter registration cards, students lined up to cast ballots to elect class representatives. By the end of the day, 28 representatives would be elected to the student council, said school principal Nanette Rankin.
