Nov. 1--Sick of watching their runners battle the same rugged Hershey course on back-toback Saturdays, coaches in District 3 have been pushing harder each year to get their championship meet moved back.

The change would allow for more recovery time for runners before the state meet. Seems perfectly reasonable, but thus far District 3 officials aren't budging.

The movement might have gotten a boost from the weather the past two years, however.

For the second straight fall, District 3 qualifiers will be entering Saturday's PIAA Championships on short rest, thanks to a one-day postponement...
