Nov. 1--Enrollment loss at the University of Northern Colorado is a big concern, but we think president Kay Norton misspoke recently when she put a portion of the blame on immigration concerns in our town.

Norton spoke to the editorial board of the Denver Post about issues involving education and higher education funding. What she let slip could have been perceived as a slight against Greeley.

Norton pointed a finger at Weld District Attorney Ken Buck's recent immigration forum, which she casually mentioned could have furthered Greeley's troubled reputation and contributed to UNC's enrollment decline this year.

We have to admit, there is some merit …
