Nov. 1--Many couples' relationships are still going strong long after the wedding bells have finished ringing, according to the United Way of Weld County, which reports the Building Healthy Marriages project has reported an encouraging first year.
The project, which assists couples though marriage education and family support, included many more couples than first projected and has received a positive response from its participants.
A total of 65 couples attended the educational seminars, up from the 40 couples which were projected to participate, while the project also hosted 30 couples for three weekends of marriage therapy instead of the 20 couples for two weekends which were initially scheduled.
Other events, such as a "Fun Run," also were held.
