KAOHSIUNG, Nov 1 Asia Pulse - The China Steel Corp. [CSC) (TAIEX:2002) will hold a seminar Nov. 1-2 to allow people in the steelmaking industry to exchange technical expertise concerning the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, a CSC spokesman said Wednesday.
Participants invited to the seminar include officials from the Bureau of Energy under the Ministry of Economic Affairs and members of the Taiwan Steel and Iron Industries Association.
The participants will hear lectures by experts and academics on their experiences in reducing greenhouse gas emissions during the steelmaking process, how the Kyoto Protocol has affected Taiwan's energy policy and what the future holds for the efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, according to the spokesman.
