NEW DELHI, Nov 1 Asia Pulse - The booming carbon credit business in the country is likely to double to US$10 billion in the next two years, experts said.
"We estimate the carbon credit market in India to rise to US$10 billion in the next two years," consulting firm ICF International managing director Bishal Thapa said here on Wednesday.
He said the current market size of carbon credit is estimated to be around US$5 billion as there are around 750 projects that plan to sell 350 million credits (carbon dioxide emissions), including 150 million credits that are in the active pipeline.
