Gumbo Cook-Off happens Jan. 12

SANDESTIN -- Say the words "Cajun music," "door prizes" and "gumbo," and what Emerald Coast event comes to mind? Sure enough, it's the 19th Annual Great Southern Gumbo Cook-Off to be held at the Market Shops at Sandestin on Jan. 12, 2008, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

This year, local businesses can enter the fray. Regional celebrity judges will hold blind judging contests for the top three restaurants and top three businesses for the Critics Choice awards. And festival attendees will vote for the People's Choice Award.
