Oct. 28--It seems inexplicable and incomprehensible.
Sales of single-family houses in the San Fernando Valley plunged an annual 55.5 percent to a record low 362 transactions in September.
At the same time, the median price of homes sold from Toluca Lake to Calabasas increased 4.8percent, or $28,700, to $623,700, according to the Southland Regional Association of Realtors.
What's going on?
Seems the market is a stew pot filled with lots of ingredients.
And while price appreciation is getting a little overdone, history isn't repeating itself -- yet.
