The claim. The Web site for the Lexus LS460 sedan says that the optional $1,200 Advanced Parking Guidance System will let you "watch your Lexus park." It works like this: You pull in front of the parking spot you want, put the car in reverse, and a rear-view camera highlights the spot on the navigation system's screen. You touch the screen to say whether you're parallel parking or pulling into a row of spaces, adjust the view by using four arrows, then press OK. You take your hands off the steering wheel, which twirls on its own as you slowly release the brake pedal. (If you release the pedal completely, the attempt is halted.)
