A lot at stake tonight for East Surry, West Wilkes.

Oct. 26--With Mount Airy leaving a trail of dust in its stampede to the Northwest 1-A title, second place appears to be the next best thing available.

And the top two contenders for that distinction -- provided Mount Airy doesn't slip up in either of its last two games -- will meet tonight when East Surry plays at West Wilkes. Although both teams will finish the season Nov. 2 with tough games -- East will play Elkin, West will play North Stokes -- the winner of tonight's game in Millers Creek will hold an advantage.
