Frito-Lay's Flat Earth baked fruit and vegetable crisps, about $3 per 6-ounce bag, promise great taste and a half-serving of real fruit or vegetables per ounce. Our tasters sampled all six varieties-Apple Cinnamon Grove, Wild Berry Patch, Peach Mango Paradise, Garlic & Herb Field, Farmland Cheddar, and Tangy Tomato Ranch. Then they checked nutrition labels to see how far they fall from the tree, vine, or bush.
Taste. The fruit crisps are sweet and at least mildly fruit-flavored. The vegetable crisps taste somewhat like traditional flavored corn chips-salty and mild in flavor. All have a nice crunch.
