Canada Maritime Conference: B.C. Government Extends Port Tax Relief Initiative.

The British Columbia government is extending for 10 years its tax relief initiative for port operators, B.C. Transport Minister Kevin Falcon told the second annual Canada Maritime Conference in Vancouver.
"British Columbia''s ports are an integral part of the Pacific Gateway Strategy, providing a vital transportation and trade link to the Asia-Pacific," Mr. Falcon said. "This extension is an important step to ensure our ports system continues to grow and attract international investment."
