This is a welcome addition to the catalog. In the past 20 years or so, the works of Astor Piazzolla (1921-1992) have been heard frequently in performances by small ensembles or occasionally in arrangements for a solo instrument and piano. Now, fortunately, they are available for the enjoyment of solo pianists.

These arrangements include several of Piazzolla's most famous works. Vuelvo al sur and Los suenos are from the soundtrack to the film Sur. All the pieces (two to four pages each) range from intermediate to advanced difficulty. The arrangements are quite good. Few fingerings are provided, but the arrangements are quite pianistic, and so the problems are minimal.
