A series of "mock examinations" was presented providing participants with a chance to literally peek into the exam room and catch a glimpse of how practical examinations are conducted. For teachers new to the RCM Examinations system, this provided a series of snapshots of the examination curriculum and an introduction to the exam structure at various levels and for different instruments. For teachers already using the system it provided valuable insight into how the examinations are actually conducted and graded.
"A Peek into the Exam Rooms" sessions were presented in the following disciplines:
* Grade Two Piano: Janet Fothergill and Wendy Bachman, examiners
* Grade Five Piano: David Sharpe and Ella Poret, examiners
* Grade Seven Piano: Kent McWilliams and James Lawless, examiners
* Grade Six Voice: Tina Torlone and Joanne Mercier, examiners
* Grade Eight Flute: Dianne Aitken and Jamie Thompson, examiners
