Brian Buch, who won first prize in the 2007 MTNA Young Artists Composition Competition, has been named one of the finalists in the 2007 Queen Elisabeth Composition Competition in Brussels, Belgium.

Buch, a senior at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, is the son of Bruce and Hedy Buch. A native of Westborough, Massachusetts, he has been studying composition for four years under Alia Cohen.
